RingtoneUSA services are available on both Mac and PC platform. We recommend using the latest browser versions.

This help section will answer questions regarding the downloading of these products to your phone. Because of the large numbers of handset models on the market, for any question that is handset specific such as “Can I assign a specific Ringtone or Wallpaper to different numbers in my cellphone?” we recommend you check the User Manual or documentation on your carrier’s website for more details.

For the best experience in using this site, remember the following:
  •   Your phone must have text message enabled and can access the internet.
  •   Make sure you have your phone’s manufacturer and model number.
  •   Ensure that you have credit in your cell phone's account if you’re a pre-paid customer.

What is a Ringtone?
Ringtones are digital sound files that let you customize your phone’s ring

What type of ringtones do you have?
We only have truetones which are actual MP3 quality sound files that allow better musical representation to be heard from the handset. These tones are delivered to Internet capable phones via a premium text message notification that contains a unique wap link to download the file.

What is a Wallpaper?
Wallpapers are images that are displayed on the handsets screen when the phone is on and is not being used for other purposes. These are static color images.

What is an Animated Screensaver?
An animated screensaver is a moving image that is displayed on your handset screen during normal operation.

What is a Video?
A video is a short video clip formatted to play on your phone.


ORDERING

How can I order a Ringtone, Wallpaper or Video?
  •   Select your Content:
  •   Select the Content you wish to purchase and click on buy to open a pop up window
  •   Fill all required information and click Next
  •   Place Order:
  •   Select the method of payment that best suits your needs. (Bill to your phone or credit card)
  •   Follow the instructions
  •   Receive your product on your phone
  •   Download following your phones requirements
  •   Save the download to your phone

How do I know if my cellphone is Text and WAP enabled?
To make sure your cellphone has the Text message and WAP features, you should read your Manufacturer's Instruction Booklet or contact your carrier.

How do I know what handset model I have?
If you are not sure what type of phone you have, check the User Manual or documentation on your carrier’s website for more details. You may also open your handset and find the phone information underneath the battery.

Is my cell phone compatible with ringtones?
Prior to purchasing any products, we recommend using our phone test feature. We will send a free test ringtone to your phone. If you are able to receive and play it, then you can safely complete your purchase.
We send ringtones, graphics and text message information through both premium and standard text-messages. If you don't have a subscription plan that includes a text messaging element, please contact your carrier and ask them to enable it. TrueTones, Wallpapers and Videos require your mobile device to be Internet enabled. With some carriers, you need to have an internet plan while other carriers let you connect to the internet on a pay per use basis.
• A text message allows us to send a message to your phone in which we will include a WAP link
• A WAP enabled phone allows you to follow that link and download the Ringtone, Wallpaper or Video you've ordered (similar to following a link on the Internet)

Which carriers do you support?
We currently support AT&T Wireless, Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint and Dobson. We are always working to add more.


BILLING

When is the transaction considered complete and the billing initiated?
In the case of Bill my Phone option, once the ordered content is fully downloaded on your cellphone, only then will the content amount be billed and show on your carrier upcoming monthly statement.
In credit card option, we process the payment live online before sending the content to your phone. You must make sure your phone is compatible using our compatibility phone test.
If you use a pre-pay plan, your account will automatically be debited the download amount.

Will I be charged to send back the SMS saying "yes" to acknowledge the transaction?
Your carrier might charge you the regular cost for sending a text message, sometimes these costs are included in your cellphone package. Contact your carrier to know what text message charges may apply.

Will I be charged to reach the link to obtain the item through the WAP site?
Your carrier might charge you the regular cost for WAP downloads, sometimes these costs are included in your cellphone package. Contact your carrier to know what WAP charges may apply.

Can I get a refund if I do not like my ringtone?
Every transaction is final and there are no refunds. That is why we strongly recommend you preview the product before ordering and that you make sure your phone is compatible by using the test ringtone.

Can I opt-out of the service?
RingtoneUSA is not a subscription based service. We only bill you for that one transaction and there is no recurring billing, therefore there is no need to opt-out of any services.
However if you ever need to opt-out, just send STOP to 88000.

DOWNLOAD

What do I do once I receive a Ringtone?
If you have selected the “Bill my Phone” option, once you order a ringtone, you will receive a text message to confirm your purchase. You will need to reply Yes to this message to confirm that you accept that the cost will be billed to your cell phone bill. When we receive this message we will automatically send you another message, this time a premium message that has your unique WAP link in the message.
If you have selected the credit card billing option, you will send you a standard message that has your unique WAP link in the message.
After opening the message your cell phone should start downloading the ringtone automatically. The download should take a few seconds and once it has been completed you can listen to the ringtone and save it to your cellphone. From there, follow the instructions in your handset manual to find where the file is saved before selecting it for use.

Why did my Item not arrive?
It can take up to several minutes for the products to arrive, and in extreme cases it can take up to 24 hours. It usually takes a few seconds for your product to arrive. Make sure your phone is on and in a serviced area.

Why is my carrier or my cellphone not listed as being compatible?
We are working hard to increase our coverage and to make other handsets compatible with our services. If your handset or carrier isn’t listed, please check back later.

You don't list my phone - can I still download content?
No, all of our content is offered to specific mobiles only. If you do not have a handset listed as a compatible device, then we cannot guarantee it will download or work. Please check our compatibility charts for a list of devices that do support our content before ordering.
